Our client, a cleaning chemical manufacturer and cleaning consumables/solutions provider has been established for over 80 years. 2013 represents a truly exciting time in their history as they have a fresh strategy, significant reinvestment and an enviable product and service offering to take to market.

In line with their growth strategy, we are now welcoming applications from experienced national coverage channel development account managers. Please be aware that this is initially a 100% business development role, operating at a national level in targeting, building and maintaining strategic business partnerships AND securing new end-user clients within the national Retail market.

You will ideally have relevant/recent Retail market knowledge, familiarity with a number of the major prospects and a contact book that can enable you to hit the ground running in taking on what will be essentially be a green field national territory.

Whilst we welcome obvious applicants from within the associated cleaning chemical, hygiene/janitorial and cleaning equipment/solutions market, we also believe that appropriate calibre individuals who can demonstrate a track-record of success in developing sales revenue among national retailers but perhaps from a Food Services, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical background could fit well.

First hand experience of developing and managing a national network of third-party distributors would also be most favoured; this combined with a demonstrable track-record of successfully securing direct new business wins to end clients/users within the national Retail market. Its important that you are at home in targeting key influencer level within the market, be it at head office or central buying/key supply chain level.

As this is set to be a targeted, autonomous senior sales role with extensive national travel required, the usual criteria applies in that you must be self-driven, goal orientated, self-managed, commercially astute, an exemplary communicator, influencer, presenter and negotiator.

Location isnt so much of an issue, so long as you are accustomed to national travel in your current/most recent role.
